CCI (Unbundling) Exclusion Maintenance

Some payers have medical policy coding requirements that contradict existing code combinations contained in the National Correct Coding Initiative (CCI) code sets. The CCI (Unbundling) Exclusion Maintenance pages allow for the management of these special billing requirements through professional and institutional exclusions. Column 1 (comprehensive) and column 2 (component) procedure code combinations may be entered for exclusion from edit 1002, CCI Unbundling of Services Identification. CCI exclusion entries may be created to apply to all payers (commercial or otherwise) or created for any single payer listed on the working payer list.
